Get to know my background and my passion for development.
I'm Cristian Oraña, a junior multiplatform software developer with experience in mobile, desktop, and backend development. I enjoy building reliable and user-friendly applications using Kotlin, Python, Java, and SQL.
I recently completed an internship at Aradoxa Solutions, where I developed internal tools with Python and MongoDB, and automated workflows using cron jobs and Mailtrap. My final project, CoPay, is a shared expense tracker built frontend with Kotlin + Jetpack Compose; backend with Java, Spring Boot and MySQL, following clean architecture and Agile practices.
I'm interested in software architecture, effective teamwork, and finding real solutions through technology. Outside of development, I enjoy photography, which helps me pay attention to detail and design.
Where I've studied and worked — and what I’ve learned from it.
Worked as a software development intern, gaining experience in building web applications and collaborating with a team. I also used Jira for project management, which helped improve my organization and workflow skills.
Studied web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, along with backend development using Java. I also gained experience in mobile application programming with Kotlin and Dart.
Completed a technological baccalaureate focused on mathematics, physics, and technology foundations, laying a solid foundation for further technical studies and development.
Languages, frameworks, and design tools I work with.
From lines of code to fully functional apps.
Flashfoods is a platform that allows users to view the best deals, news, and openings of fast food restaurants in their vicinity using geolocation. Includes various features such as an interactive map, user profile, wishlist, and more.
CoPay is a collaborative expense management application designed to simplify the division of costs within groups, such as dinners, trips, or gifts. It allows users to manage shared payments, create collaborative wish lists, and compare prices to find the best deals on products.
Vacation Manager is a desktop application developed with Python and PyQt6 that allows users to manage their vacations efficiently. This is a private project that I created for Aradoxa Solutions.
